In 2008-2009, I conceived, curated & co-juried the (Re)imagine Exhibit in collaboration with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA), Sundance Film Institute and The Artist in Residence Program at San Francisco Recology. The interactive exhibit was held at San Francisco’s Lincart Gallery. The exhibit invited artists from around the world to submit art made from diverse discarded materials that human beings had deemed disposable. The vision of the Exhibit was to reveal the mis(use) of natural resources by humans as well as the creative ability to reimagine the potential of these discarded materials. Artworks in all medium were exhibited including Julia Goodman’s hanging sculpture Nothing is Certain Now (pictured above).

At the time I did not realize how essential it is to personally document your projects and as a result, the magnificent website that showcased the over 50 international artists and their diverse artworks has dissolved into space as it was created by an outside entity. However the Artist in Residence Program at S.F. Recology is alive and embodies much of what the Exhibit showcased.
